Stanhope Plc believes in establishing strong links with the surrounding communities and has established a community engagement plan, which includes
- Establishing a dialogue with community organisations, stakeholders and leaders
- Establishing a programme of ongoing briefings with community stakeholders to ensure that they are fully informed and have every opportunity to feed into the development process
- To hold a series of public exhibitions that are open to all
A public exhibition was held in a number of different venues in early February 2013 as part
of the first phase of our public consultation.
The exhibition launched our vision for Television Centre, which is to create a new home for parts of
the BBC, open up the site to the public, revitalise much loved buildings around the forecourt and
introduce new residential, commercial and public uses.
We hope to make TVC an exciting place to visit, work at, and live in.
The response to the vision and plans was overwhelmingly positive, which along with the meetings we
have undertaken with local residents, amenity groups and community organisations provides a broad
endorsement of the overall vision.

The whole of the consultation process will be summarisaed in a Community Engagement Report
that will accompany the planning submission.

Your comments and suggestions are very helpful in developing our ideas for the future. We
have produced slightly different Response Forms for each exhibition, reflecting the differing
emphasis and content.
We have found consultation to date to be invaluable and extremely informative. Thank you to all
